Description:
Re-photographed copy made by the Godeffroy Museum in Hamburg of an original carte-de-visite collected by Amalie Dietrich in Queensland between 1863 and 1873:posed group of six young men, four standing, one kneeling and one lying on the floor. They wear face and body paint and textile loincloths, and carry spears and boomerangs. A shield lies on the floor in the foreground. Painted studio background. [LM 2/2/2009]

No. 41 (page 503) is captioned: 'Vier Eingeborene in aufrechter, einer in knieender Stellung, ein Weib in liegender; die Bemalung des Körpers mit schwarzer Farbe zeigund, die Männer mit Speer, Holzschwert und Boomerang bewaffnet.
